Purpose: To determine whether lamotrigine affects lithium pharmacokinetics. 
Study design: Open-label, randomized, cross-over study. 
Follow up: 6 days. 
Patients: 20 healthy adult men. 
Treatment: Lithium 2g every 12 hours with or without lamotrigine 100 mg once daily.
Results: Lamotrigine did not cause a significant change in the pharmacokinetics of lithium. Key pharmacokinetic parameters for lithium varied by 10% or less with and without combination lamotrigine treatment.
